Local Issues - Archaeological

The Angiddy valley has a long history and was heavily industrialised in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is estimated that there were more than 20 water wheels working to provide power to the metal working industries. Today there is little evidence of this intense activity.

Nevertheless TAP Ltd has commissioned a detailed archaeological desk top study to establish if the proposed project would damage anything of archaeological interest. The desk top study indicates that the Project is unlikely to have an impact on the archaeology in the valley.

Care will be taken during the implementation of the project, and anything of interest which is uncovered will be fully evaluated.
